Connected through our plant hire division we undertake Civil Engineering Contracting. We carry out projects from large road schemes to simple house site clearance with values ranging from 0.5 M to 1 K. With the backup of having our own plant hire, haulage and quarry facilities we can ensure that a high standard and efficient service is provided to our customers.

Name: Sullom Voe Power Station Civil Modifications

Timescale: Jan 2007 - 5 month duration

Fortum (O&M) UK ltd. operate the Sullom Voe power station on behalf of BP is in the process of upgrading and renewing a lot of the plant at the power station. With these modifications there is civil works required to accommodate the new plant.

Our scope includes: installing foundations for two new steam boilers, two 42m3 reinforced concrete bases for new water treatment tanks, an 80m3 reinforced concrete base for a new 27m high chimney, various other small bases for ancillary equipment, 250m of water main track and install a drainage system.

Name: Civil and Building Maintenance of the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal

Timescale: 3-year contract

We are currently the Main Contractor for the Civil and Building maintenance contract at the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal, Mossbank, Shetland. This contract involves civil engineering and building maintenance, maintenance of roads and pavements, cleaning of surface and underground drains and execution of civil project activities. To successfully achieve this we provide experienced and trained civil tradesmen and plant operators who are managed by our Contract Manager and Supervisor. We also provide various items of plant and vehicles to serve the contract.
